An hand-drawn piece of artwork used in the production of “The H&F: Trolleys Through the Heart of Maryland” documentary by Carroll James. The art is not signed. The image is screen used and original.
This scene was drawn to represent the two sets of wheels traveling past the Mt. Lena station during an account of the infamous South Mountain Wreck at Mount Lena on January 26, 1936. The wheel sets were described as “two fireballs” or “Two dogs chasing one another down the mountain”
The Mt. Lena station was in reality a taller brick structure.
