Volunteering with the H&FRHS

We are a 100% volunteer and donation based organization. All of our activities are conducted by unpaid volunteers who share our interest in preserving and promoting the history of the H&F Railway and its impact on central Maryland.

If you share our interest we invite you to volunteer your time and support our efforts. There are many opportunities to choose from, and you do not need any prior experience or knowledge of the railway’s history!

Requirements

As a volunteer you will be expected to maintain an individual membership to the H&FRHS. Membership in our organization shows your support for our efforts and helps to support the financial costs of these programs. You will receive a quarterly newsletter with updates and in depth articles about H&F Railway topics. If you are interested only in the Trolley Station Museum, you are expected to either maintain a membership to the H&FRHS OR provide an annual donation to our operating partner and host, the National Road Heritage Foundation.
