Frederick Inter-Urban Railway Waybill C.C. Carty to Mrs. J.A. Harbin

This document records a shipment of furniture from C.C. Carty’s store on East Patrick Street in Frederick to Mrs. J.A. Harbin of Braddock Heights on July 23, 1909.  The shipment was handled by the Frederick Inter-Urban Railway, a “paper company” formed by the Frederick & Middletown Railway to handle out-of-city services between towns.  F.I.U.Ry. was one of many companies combined during mergers that resulted in the Hagerstown & Frederick Railway.
